From an early age, Josh was drawn to the quiet magic of freshwater streams and the promise they held of catching trout. Some of his earliest memories are of watching his dad, carefully casting dry flies to rising fish; moments that lit a lifelong fire.
What began as a childhood fascination quickly became an obsession. Josh has spent countless hours chasing trout across Victoria and beyond, constantly exploring new water, studying maps for hidden blue lines, and refining the skills that make fly fishing both an art and a science.
Today, that passion fuels Trout Days Fly Fishing. With a deep respect for the craft and a sharp eye for detail, Josh brings a thoughtful, encouraging approach to your day on the water.
Whether you’re new to fly fishing or looking to elevate your skills, he’s committed to the enjoyment fly fishing brings, helping you read the water, tie the right knots, and make casts that count; all whilst enjoying some of the most beautiful freshwater locations Australia has to offer.
Rob
Since a young boy his love for the outdoors and the natural world set Rob on a path that he describes as "Almost Spiritual".
The natural progression into fly fishing some 45 years ago led him on a greater path of discovery & learning.
Very much family orientated, it’s never been just about catching fish; it’s about the quiet moments, being outdoors, and the joy of sharing the experience with others.
Rob's love of fly fishing has always driven a desire to teach & share his experiences to both the young and the young at heart.
With the enviable trait of great patience, Rob will teach you and share his knowledge in the finer points of fly fishing.

With the advantage of youth, Tim’s passion for fly fishing goes hand in hand with his love of exploration and the outdoors.
Having roamed countless rivers and high country streams throughout Victoria’s North-East, he’s always in pursuit of new water and unforgettable moments.
With a background in fly fishing retail, Tim is a wealth of up-to-date knowledge on gear, flies, and tactics. He thrives on helping others, whether it’s landing your first trout or building your confidence for that next solo adventure.
Tim’s easy-going nature, love of a good laugh, and practical approach will ensure your day fishing feels less like a lesson and more like a day out with a good mate.
